A Glimpse of December

Yoga with cousins and Aunt Melissa.

Playing games with Grandma Dudley.

Boys playing Super Mario Galaxy with Conner.

Rachel loved this snowman. Just her size.

Fridge so full of food, the milk was stored in the snow in our snow fort. Allan, desperate for milk, went outside in shorts and t-shirt to dig it out. Took about five minutes to find it. So funny!

Candy Houses - The favorite candy this year was gummy bears and chocolate candy coins. Joshua spent a lot of time perfecting his house.

Nathan made the Empire State Building.

Allan and I made the Eiffel Tower. It took a lot of time to carefully saw the graham crackers into the right shape. Thank goodness for the Royal Frosting to act like glue for mistakes.

4 School Class Parties to attend. Rachel loved going to each class and seeing her siblings. They all shared goodies with her.

No pictures of Gingerbread Men we made (so delicious and eaten before photo opportunities). The kids loved decorating them. No pictures of the Christmas Cookie Exchange Party by Karla Brown. Gourmet appetizers and bringing home 86 cookies. No pictures of Christmas Eve. I love Christmas Eve. Our family read the Christmas story in the book of Luke—all of us in the living room while the children arrange the Olive Wood Nativity Set on the floor. True meaning of Christmas felt by all. No pictures of the many game nights. We played a few new games like Wits and Wagers and Dominion. My family loved Dominion and played it many, many times, especially Nathan. Thanks to Jeff who took us all to Tangled. Cute movie. Voyage of the Dawn Treader with Grandma Dudley and Conner was great.

Grandma Keith's party and talent show - yummy soups and breads. So much fun to visit with the relatives. Everyone was so excited to see Santa, except Rachel. She absolutely refused to even get close to him.

Coming home from a vacation is tough. It means back to life - early mornings, housework, homework, music practice, etc... but when we came home to a large package from Grandma Greer, the kids were thrilled. The kids loved opening each individually wrapped present. Each gift was what each child wanted. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa.
