Football Season is Over

Allan's first season of football is over. We won't miss the EARLY mornings but we'll miss hearing about daily practices and games. Football is the best part of Allan's day. Allan finished the season at the top of his game. He worked really hard and made it so he could play on 4th Quarter. The day before the last game, one of the coaches changed his mind and swapped Allan out. Allan was a little disappointed but he was okay because he knew he had progressed a lot and the 8th Grades Coaches love him so next year will be great. Anyway, he had a couple great tackles and even sacked the quarterback. At the beginning of 4th Quarter, the score was 0 to 0. The wide receiver out on the field dropped two passes. Allan saw what was happening and strategically placed himself by the coach. He knew an opportunity was coming. The coach said, "Give me a wide receiver. Anyone?" Allan jumped and he was put out on the field. The quarterback called a pass play that Allan loves. The football was passed to him. He caught it and ran a couple of yards. He was tackled into the end zone. TOUCH DOWN!!! The final score was 14 to 6. It was a great way to end the football season.
On another note, Allan has grown so much. Today I will be shopping for jeans for this kid.

It was fantastic to read about Allan in the fourth quarter. What a play he did. He did fantastic. The coaches will now know he is "the man". What a great experience. I am proud of Allan but for lots of reasons. I am happy that it was such a great ending for his football season.
Hurrah, my comment was posted. I'm sure Allan was in heaven when it all worked out. I love that football player in the jersey with the number 48. Great job Allan!
