A Week of Love
At Cheatham Elementary, there is a school policy that parties happen only on Friday. Knowing that Valentines Day was Monday, I was worried that it would be downplayed. But instead, I think it was a week of love. I've always thought though that Valentines Day should be an everyday thing, not just once a year. We should always be celebrating those we love. Emily was the most excited for Valentines Day this year. She put these pink heart post it notes with Love messages EVERYWHERE. I loved it.
Allan's sixth grade party was sign they he is growing up. The party was held in cafeteria with all you can eat ice cream and toppings. When I entered the gym, Allan and a bunch of guys were hanging around the table talking. I asked Allan if I could take a picture and he said, "Definitely NOT." So not to embarrass him, I waited and took this picture when no one was looking. He'll thank me when he grows up. Also at the party was loud music and some dancing.
At Nathan's party, they exchanged Valentines, ate goodies, played a few guessing games, and spent most of the time visiting. Rachel got a lot of attention in the classroom as well as quite a few Valentines. They loved her.
Nathan has a ton of friends in his class this year. I went to eat lunch with him last month as a surprise. When we went to sit down, his friends had saved him a seat in the middle of table. He ended up choosing his friends over me since there was no place for me. I was okay with it. Just a sign that he is growing up.
Joshua's party had a ton of fun games. One of them including seeing who could build the biggest candy tower.
Emily's favorite part of Valentines Day had to be the Valentines she got as well as her bag.
