Memories

Life just seems so very busy and fast. With five kids, it feels like so many special moments fly by but all of these moments are the cherished memories. The way Rachel puts on her shoes on the wrong feet. Everyday. To see Nathan work through his routine and Allan always throwing a ball. The excitement of Emily coming home from school and Joshua still shows signs of sweetness. Here is an update on the kids.

Allan
* new season of flag football started. He loves it. He's also starting to show an interest in basketball. Often plays after school with friends across the street.
* loves to read.
* works really hard at school. Always on the honor roll.
* loves boy scouts. He is working on multiple merit badges.
* wishing for an x-box.
* loves his long warm showers.
* gave his first Sacrament meeting talk. He did a great job.
* registers for Junior High this week.

Nathan
* loves to read.
* Loves AIM (Acquiring Inquisitive Minds).
* Sounds so good on the piano.
* Awesome student.
* has multiple best friends at school.
* busy, busy year in school. Student council. AIM. Destination Imagination. At home, scouts and piano plus chores. He says he's not going to sign up for anything next year, but I know he will. He is easily motivated.

Joshua
* aka"lego creator." He loves legos and creates amazing things with them.
* loves to be challenged.
* loves and takes good care of our new pet turtle.
* progressing on the piano.
* LOVES scouts.

Emily
* talkative. She might be reserved at first, but then she opens up and doesn't stop talking.
* reads Bears in the Night and The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and The Big Hungry Bear daily.
* LOVES to color.
* has about 10 best friends. She always wants to invite a friend over to play.

Rachel
*loves her swimsuits. Wears them as much as often as she can. Under her pajamas, over her pajamas. She completely undresses and puts on one. Frustrating and SO CUTE even when we are in a hurry to get somewhere and it is 50 degrees outside. Too cold for swim suits.
* Dora and Diego are favorite shows.
* won't say her name Rachel for anything. Trust me. I've tried.
* favorite snack - graham crackers and milk. She eats this almost every day.
* loves eggs. She takes apart a breakfast burrito to eat the eggs and then asks for more. I've even see her eat eggs off of others plates of her brothers and sister.
* went through a phase of hating baths but it ended. Thank goodness.
* was sleeping through the night but for the last couple of months wakes up screaming in the night and continues crying as she comes to find me or I find her. Poor girl! I think it was a nightmare but now it has started a cycle. She usually wakes up 2 to 3 times doing this.
