Blue and Gold

This year's Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet was a dessert bar. Yum! The kids were so excited about all of the choices. We had a chocolate fountain with tons of things for the kids to dip, waffle cones with ice cream and toppings, a cupcake cake, and a few healthy side dishes. Nathan invited his friend Alex to join us. After this experience, he wants to be a cub scout.

Happy Valentines Day!!!

The schools celebrated Valentines Day on Monday Feb. 15. Joshua's class had a fun bingo party, exchanged Valentines, and ate treats. This year Joshua made Twirly Whirls for all of his class.
Rachel loves visiting the school and seeing her brothers. She is the center of attention as the kids in the class come and visit.
Joshua is so good to Emily each time we come and visit. He had a chair ready for her at his desk. Emily is nursing a scraped eye with a paper towel. She tripped in the parking lot running because she was so excited for the parties.

Tons and Tons and Tons of Snow

Things to do when you get tons and tons and tons of snow in Dallas - a record of over 8 inches. The kids were so glad that school was canceled and that we had a day to play in it.

1. Try to catch snowflakes with your hands and mouth.

2. Build a snowman.
3. Have snowball fights with as many kids in the neighborhood as you can.
4. Bundle up and learn how to walk in the snow without falling.
5. Play hockey in the snow.
6. Throw more snowballs.
7. Go tubing down the hill and have others tow you around on the tube.
It has been like Disneyland with all of the fun and excitement that has been happening. The kids have loved every minute.

Joshua went to his first hockey game at the new Allen American Arena. The team did awesome and the score was 4 to 1. He especially loved going on the ice after the second period to help collect hockey pucks from a contest.

Nap Time

I gave up putting Rachel down for a nap about a month ago because it was such a battle. She will take a nap about 3 to 4 times a week at random times and usually for about 30 minutes. Today Rachel was upstairs playing with her sister when I realized the house was quiet. I walked around the house to check on them, and found Rachel asleep on the kitchen table.

Dangerous Door Opener

Although she has only gained a pound in the last six months, she is growing in leaps and bounds developmentally. Everything is dangerous now that she can open doors.

Time for New Shoes

Joshua has his favorite shoes that he wears everyday and now that there is a hole in both shoes, it is time for new ones. Do you see his sock?
