We anxiously awaited the visit of my parents and the visit flew by.

We walked the kids to school almost every day.

This is a neighbor's house who has decorated for Halloween. It is always one of the spookiest houses.

This is Allan early in the morning before getting picked up for Football.

Yummy food everyday. Waffles with strawberry sauce and whipped cream.
Of course we made time for the traditional lunch at school.

Nathan, Joshua, Emily, and Rachel had Chick-a-fila.

Allan got a surprise Sonic lunch and no picture. We would have embarrassed the kid if we did that or if we ate with him in the lunchroom.

We took Grandpa and Grandma swimming in our neighborhood pool. It was empty and a little cool at first but if you stayed in the water, it was fine.

This picture of Emily is on picture day. After a huge scene the night before and refusing to go to bed, I finally discovered that it was because it was picture day the next day and I had promised a month ago that I would put curlers in her hair. Doesn't her hair look great? This is one of Emily's favorite hairdos.

We went to yard sales and snagged a bunch of items the kids love including this mega blocks dragon set. Joshua was so excited about his lava lamp.

We went to lunch to celebrate my 35th birthday at Uncle Julios with my friend Kimberly. She was one of Michelle's first roommates at BYU-Hawaii. Such a small world. She is the most thoughtful friend and gave me a Mother's Pride necklace.

I took my Mom to see Allan perform in the Allen Tailgate Concert. He has been playing cornet since 6th Grade.

The three junior high bands performed with some of the Allen High Marching Band, the largest marching band in the world. The Allen Escadrille is the world's largest high school marching band, with a membership of over 680 students.

We played games with my parents and Emily joined in and LOVED it.

My Family Sunday Morning

We took my parents to one of Allan's football games at Curtis Middle School. It was a sad day because they lost their first game. :(

Allan in his gear.

My Mom can be a fun Grandma. Look at how cute this Watermelon Shark is.

All of the kids LOVED it!

We are looking forward to November when we will see them at Disney World.

Other highlights not pictured:
+ My mom spent the week ironing and sewing. My work is all caught up.
+ Scout Pack meeting where we shot off a rocket.
+ Watching the BYU Football Game.
+ Shopping, shopping, and more shopping.
+ Going to a card making party - Stampin' Up.
+ Watching the Presidential Debate. Go Mitt Romney.
+ Going to the RS Broadcast and a Stake dinner. We ran into Julie Talbot Grant and I saw an old friend from my BYU ward that just moved here.
+ Practicing Piano with Grandma
+ And one funny story, Emily asked me, "Mom, why does Grandpa call Grandma Wynnette and Grandma call Grandpa Dennis?" To her, they are only Grandpa and Grandma.
